• [2025-Apr-7] Our latest paper, Dual Graph-Based Bayesian Network Modeling With Rao-Blackwellization, is now published in Earthquake Engineering & Structural Dynamics! In collaboration with SSRG at Seoul National University, we present a Bayesian network-based method that enables exact seismic reliability estimates for large-scale networks—previously thought intractable. To handle even larger systems, we further propose an importance sampling extension.

• [2025-Feb-01] Our latest article, Disaster risk-informed optimization using buffered failure probability for regional-scale building retrofit strategy is now published in Structural Safety! In collaboration with SSRG at Seoul National University, we tackle the high-dimensional challenge of regional-scale seismic retrofitting. During the project, we found that heuristic algorithms fail entirely on this problem, making our mixed-integer programming approach one of the only viable solutions.
